Overview:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement at Green Bangla Foundation, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for GBF’s programs and operations. This role is essential in maintaining transparency, accountability, and efficiency in all procurement activities, aligning with the foundation’s commitment to sustainability and community development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies that support GBF’s goals, ensuring that procurement processes align with industry best practices and the foundation’s sustainability objectives.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers, ensuring the procurement of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.
  • Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, conditions, and pricing, while adhering to GBF’s ethical standards.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring the availability of necessary materials and supplies for ongoing programs and operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with GBF’s policies, donor requirements, and relevant legal frameworks. Maintain thorough documentation of procurement decisions and processes.
  • Budget Management: Work closely with program teams to manage procurement budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and preventing cost overruns.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular procurement reports, including cost analyses, supplier performance evaluations, and contract reviews for the leadership team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in the non-profit or development sector.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple procurement processes simultaneously.
    • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expertise: Knowledge of procurement regulations, especially in the development sector. Familiarity with sustainable and ethical procurement practices is a plus.
