Overview:
The Foreign Affairs Executive at Green Bangla Foundation (GBF) will manage the foundation’s international relations, build partnerships, and promote GBF’s initiatives on a global scale. This role is essential in enhancing collaboration with international organizations, governments, and stakeholders to advance GBF’s mission of sustainable development, environmental conservation, and community empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
- International Relations: Build and maintain relationships with international organizations, governmental agencies, and NGOs to foster collaboration on GBF’s programs and initiatives.
- Partnership Development: Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with foreign governments, donor agencies, and international corporations that align with GBF’s mission.
- Diplomacy and Advocacy: Represent GBF in international forums, meetings, and conferences, advocating for sustainable development and environmental conservation in Bangladesh.
- Funding and Grants: Work with the fundraising team to identify international funding opportunities, develop proposals, and secure grants from global donors and organizations.
- Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for international stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and timely updates on GBF’s programs and achievements.
- Policy Monitoring: Stay informed about international policies, regulations, and agreements that could impact GBF’s work in Bangladesh, and advise the leadership team accordingly.
- Reporting: Prepare reports and updates on international activities, partnerships, and foreign collaborations for the leadership team and donors.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in international relations, foreign affairs, or a related field, preferably in a non-profit or development organization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong networking, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with international stakeholders.
- Proficiency in grant writing and fundraising from global donors.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills for an international audience.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Personal Attributes:
- Diplomatic and culturally sensitive, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong project management skills.
